Vacancy in Office
Any vacancy of the Governing Council office bearer/s or member/s shall be filled by the Governing Council for the remaining term or part thereof.
Governing Body Formation
- The Governing Council Members shall be chosen at the General Body meeting on the notified date/s, place/s and time/s district wise or taluk wise or by any other process as per the Byelaws and rules of the association.
- Normally Life Members to be considered for the Governing Council.
- One member from each of the districts of the state of Karnataka from the registered members shall be selected or chosen or as decided by the general body to the SGC.
- The District Presidents of functioning District Governing Councils will be the (ex-officio) members to the SGC and the Taluk Presidents will be the members (ex-officio) to their respective DGC; However, when the President/s were also member of the SGC or DGC as the case may be, this clause does not apply.
- The governing council however can co-opt /nominate any member of a district to its council when no such governing council has been formed for that district or taluk as the case may be.
- The remaining vacancy of the SGC to be filled through nominations and/or co-opting by the newly formed SGC based upon the proportional strength of the members of the districts and/or organizational requirements (with more representation from Bengaluru division if so desired)
- One member from each of the taluks of that District registered members shall be chosen or as decided by the general body to the DGC and the remaining vacancy of the DGC can be filled by the newly formed DGC by Nominations and/or co-opting to the DGC based upon the proportional strength of the members of the taluks and/or organizational requirements.
- The registered members of the Taluk can choose/ select/ as decided by the general body and co-opt /nominate at most (maximum) 15 (fifteen) members to their TGC depending upon the number of registered members in that Taluk, as notified by the SGC from time to time with or without the recommendation of the DGC of that Taluk.
- Nominations to the Council membership may be made from the floor, provided consent has been obtained from the nominee.
- The new Governing body formation process shall be by mutual consent or nominations or voice vote or as decided by the Governing body of the State, district and Taluk as per the prior decision or notification or based on the opinion of the majority of the voting members present of that taluk for DGC/ Districts for SGC except when there is only one nominee from that district for the SGC and from that taluk for the DGC.
- New Formation of the DGC shall be held and conducted by the SGC with a nominated observer by the SGC and to the TGC shall be held and conducted by the DGC with an observer (optional) nominated by the SGC or DGC as per the association byelaws and rules framed from time to time.
